Meet the makers

We're Maddi & Tim

Two Brisbane parents raising two wildly imaginative kids → Luna and Nova.

We’re partners in life and in business. Co-founders, co-authors, co-designers, co-dreamers. We love building things together, especially things that make our lives easier, not harder.

We Love Stories. We're Also Tired.

Our daughter Luna has always loved telling stories. And we love watching her imagination grow.

But by late afternoon, creativity doesn’t always come easily. We wanted a way to say “yes” to play (instead of instinctively reaching for the remote), without needing to invent everything from scratch.

It Started With Chalk in the Driveway.

One afternoon, Tim and Luna drew obstacle courses across the concrete → paths, challenges, little worlds. It became a ritual. It was simple, active, and imaginative.

But when the rain came, the course disappeared, and rebuilding it wasn’t always easy.

That’s when we realised: the right structure makes play easier. It made the "yes" easier for us.

Story Bounce was born from that idea.

LEARN MORE ABOUT US

Why Imaginative Play?

All parents want to nurture our kids with imaginative play. It boosts creativity, problem solving, emotional regulation, and physical development.

Boosts Creativity

Imaginative play encourages divergent thinking, which is linked to long-term creative problem solving.

Builds Social Skills

Pretend play helps children understand emotions, develop empathy, and practise social roles.

Problem Solving

Open-ended scenarios during imaginative play require flexible thinking and adaptive problem solving. Skills that translate to real-world learning

Physical Development

Active pretend play (like crawling through jungles or jumping over lava) improves gross motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness.
